Monday, 4/29/24: Talking about what’s on my radar this morning
Happy Monday!
It’s a new week, which means it’s time for your next Monday motivation newsletter.
Read on below for some steps to a happier Monday and some positive thoughts to get your week started.
Three Steps to a Happier Monday
Each newsletter starts with three prompts to inspire gratitude and simple intention setting. Take a moment and jot down answers to these three questions. To give an example, I share my answers below.
Step 1: What are three things I appreciated from the weekend?
Step 2: What is one thing I can be excited about today?
Step 3: What is my intention for this week?
GRATITUDE: I’m thankful for downtime, time to read the book I’m enjoying and catching up with my parents over the phone.
TODAY: Today, I’m most excited for some quiet time this morning before a busy workday.
INTENTION: My intention this week is plan the month of May.
Okay, your turn! And if you want to share your three steps, I am all ears. 🙂
On My Monday Radar
Some Mondays, we aren’t ready to jump into our to-do list right away. In case you want some content to procrastinate with, here’s a roundup of a few positive things on my radar:
- One of my 2024 goals is to update my makeup routine (trust me, it is time…) and these SAIE brushes are helping immensely. I picked up two during the Sephora sale – the Base Brush for foundation and the Big Brush to use with their cream bronzer – and I am a big fan of both. I’ve never felt confident in my ability to use makeup brushes, but there is something about these reasonably (!!) priced brushes that make make-up application easier… and more fun? Love!
- Emily Henry on the Wisdom of Modern Romance Novels: “Love Is Not Just a Silly Story.”Eeek! SO excited there is a new Emily Henry book – Funny Story – out now. I am saving to read during the summer and cannot wait.
- I really enjoyed this podcast episode about “surviving” the 2024 election season. I appreciated the optimism and the intentionality and am feeling encouraged to figure out my own ‘election survival kit’ to sort through these next few months.
- 33 (brilliant?!) life hacks. Every week should start with reading a list of life hacks. I don’t have the data to back this up, but it just has to make the week ahead run smoother.
- I want to print this out and paste it all around my apartment. The reminder I OFTEN need!!!
Picture of the Week
That’s all for today! I hope you found something in today’s newsletter that sparked motivation, made you smile or inspired a positive Monday thought. Don’t underestimate the power of starting small… a fulfilling week starts with just one fulfilling day. You’ve got this!
Let’s make it a great Monday!
