Megan's Monday Motivation

Monday, 3/18/24: Talking about what’s on my radar this morning

Happy Monday!

It’s a new week, which means it’s time for your next Monday motivation newsletter.

Read on below for some steps to a happier Monday and some positive thoughts to get your week started.

Three Steps to a Happier Monday

Each newsletter starts with three prompts to inspire gratitude and simple intention setting. Take a moment and jot down answers to these three questions. To give an example, I share my answers below.

Step 1: What are three things I appreciated from the weekend?

Step 2: What is one thing I can be excited about today?

Step 3: What is my intention for this week?

GRATITUDE: I’m thankful for fun with friends Saturday, time to relax and the exciting package I received in the mail.

TODAY: Today, I’m most excited for a slow, quiet morning.

INTENTION: My intention this week is to focus on savoring my evenings.

Okay, your turn! And if you want to share your three steps, I am all ears. 🙂

On My Monday Radar

Some Mondays, we aren’t ready to jump into our to-do list right away. In case you want some content to procrastinate with, here’s a roundup of a few positive things on my radar:

  • I’m excited about this book that comes out in October!! I liked Kendra’s book The Lazy Genius Way, so am excited for her take on time management.
  • Speaking of books, on Friday I finished listening to Curtis Sittenfeld’s Eligible and it was just delightful. It is a modern retelling of Pride & Prejudice – very clever and very entertaining. It’s filled with some laughable moments and unlikeable characters, and once I had ~30% of the book left, I was listening any chance I could. Sad it’s over!
  • I guess I am going to continue on my modern retelling of Jane Austen books streak because I just got Emma of 83rd Street from the library. Described as “Jane Austen’s Emma meets the misadventures of Manhattan’s modern dating scene” – sounds cute! I’m excited to start this week.
  • Do you need a cute gift for a baby? My friend Emily has started making custom embroidered apparel that is ADORABLE (she is so talented!). For my friend who recently had a baby, I got a onesie with the baby’s name on it and it was so, so cute. Highly recommend!
  • 8 Simple Ways to Get the Nancy Meyers Look on a BudgetFun article to read through 🙂
  • 43 Spring Dinner Ideas. Looking through this article was helpful as I want to switch up our current dinner rotation!

St. Patrick’s Day fun in Chicago this weekend 🙂

That’s all for today! I hope you found something in today’s newsletter that sparked motivation, made you smile or inspired a positive Monday thought. Don’t underestimate the power of starting small… a fulfilling week starts with just one fulfilling day. You’ve got this!

Let’s make it a great Monday!
