Megan's Monday Motivation

Monday, 2/19/24: Talking about what’s on my radar this morning

Happy Monday!

It’s a new week, which means it’s time for your next Monday motivation newsletter.

Read on below for some steps to a happier Monday and some positive thoughts to get your week started.

Three Steps to a Happier Monday

Each newsletter starts with three prompts to inspire gratitude and simple intention setting. Take a moment and jot down answers to these three questions. To give an example, I share my answers below.

Step 1: What are three things I appreciated from the weekend?

Step 2: What is one thing I can be excited about today?

Step 3: What is my intention for this week?

GRATITUDE: I’m thankful for time with family Friday, seeing and catching up with a friend Saturday, and good conversations with Matt on Sunday!

TODAY: Matt and I are both off work today for Presidents Day, so I’m most excited to run errands together.

INTENTION: My intention this week is to focus on abundance.

Okay, your turn! And if you want to share your three steps, I am all ears. 🙂

On My Monday Radar

Some Mondays, we aren’t ready to jump into our to-do list right away. In case you want some content to procrastinate with, here is a roundup of a few positive things on my radar:

  • I came across this idea of “The Sunday Home” and I LOVE! I have today off work, so I’m treating it as a ‘Sunday’ and looking forward to enjoying this tonight. A great idea to focus on when the Sunday Scaries sneak in…
  • I am a big fan of the Gottman’s and heard recently that they came out with a new book: Fight Right. A bit intimated to read this, but such an important topic for relationships. I’m sure like all their books it will be packed full with actionable insights!
  • “The Right Kind of Busy.” Interesting idea and different than the typical “busyness” conversations we hear.
  • Well aren’t these a cute take on the ballet flat trend! I live right by a Rothy’s and saw them in the window – might have to try them on.
  • I’ve been enjoying making no-bake energy bites – like this recipe – to snack on during the week. Easy to customize and often have all the ingredients already on hand!
  • 11 everyday joys. Ending on a positive note, I love lists like these 🙂

Romanticizing my L ride Sunday – Chicago looking beautiful (AND SUNNY!).

That’s all for today! I hope you found something in today’s newsletter that sparked motivation, made you smile or inspired a positive Monday thought. Don’t underestimate the power of starting small… a fulfilling week starts with just one fulfilling day. You’ve got this!

Let’s make it a great Monday!
