Monday, 2/10/25: Talking about what’s on my radar
Happy Monday!
It’s a new week, which means it’s time for your next Monday motivation newsletter.
Read on below for some steps to a happier Monday and some positive thoughts to get your week started.
Three Steps to a Happier Monday
Each newsletter starts with three prompts to inspire gratitude and simple intention setting. Take a moment and jot down answers to these three questions. To give an example, I share my answers below.
Step 1: What are three things I appreciated from the weekend?
Step 2: What is one thing I can be excited about today?
Step 3: What is my intention for this week?
GRATITUDE: I’m thankful for my current Saturday morning routine, fun time with friends Saturday night and yummy Super Bowl snacks!
TODAY: I’m most excited to read my new book today.
INTENTION: My intention this week is to focus on a workday shutdown ritual.
Okay, your turn! And if you want to share your three steps, I am all ears. 🙂
On My Monday Radar
Each Monday, this newsletter rotates between featuring personal reflections & essays and a round-up of links, recommendations and other positive things on my radar. If you are looking for some content to ease into your week with, take a look through the links below! Hope you enjoy:
- January is always a great reading month for me (hey, I’m happy to stay cozied up with a book inside while it’s freezing out!), and this year was no exception. I read five books and three really stood out: Real Americans by Rachel Khong, Is She Really Going Out With Him? by Sophie Cousens, and The Let Them Theory by Mel Robbins.
- I read Real Americans while in Hawaii and was captivated by it from the first chapter! It felt unlike any book I’d read before. Loved it.
- It did not surprise me that I loved Is She Really Going Out With Him? as I love anything by Sophie Cousens, but a really cute rom-com book that would be a great read for February
- The Let Them Theory – this book is everywhere right now. After listening a podcast episode with this author as a guest, I really wanted to read the book. And I liked it! Like with any book, not everything is applicable, but in general, it’s such a simple tool (I found myself using it the same day I learned about it) with big benefits. Reminded me of the idea I wrote about here.
What are you reading right now?
- My new favorite dinner! Omg it is so good! And so easy! I made it last week for Matt and me and will definitely be adding into the rotation moving forward. The tortilla strips make it.
- I know Valentine’s Day gets mixed reviews, but personally, I am here for all the pink and red and hearts to brighten up an otherwise dreary time of year. One thing I can’t get enough of? Valentine’s Day coffee mugs!! I’ve acquired quite the collection, including this adorable bistro one (sold out online but still in stores!) and this classic one. Currently lusting over this one from my favorite tableware brand (but also telling myself I do not need another one, haha).
- The simple long sleeve shirt I keep reaching for! Seriously could wear 7 days/week. It’s so soft and cozy – great for layering or to be worn on its own. When this no-shop month ends I’ve already decided I am buying myself another one!!
- Love this message!
- And also… found some perspective in this.
Picture of the Week

Baking > Super Bowl, haha. I love this heart pan my cousin Laura got Matt and me as part of our wedding gift!!!
That’s all for today! I hope you found something in today’s newsletter that sparked motivation, made you smile or inspired a positive Monday thought. Don’t underestimate the power of starting small… a fulfilling week starts with just one fulfilling day. You’ve got this!
Let’s make it a great Monday!
