Monday, 12/23/24: Talking about what’s on my radar
Happy Monday!
It’s a new week, which means it’s time for your next Monday motivation newsletter.
Read on below for some steps to a happier Monday and some positive thoughts to get your week started.
Three Steps to a Happier Monday
Each newsletter starts with three prompts to inspire gratitude and simple intention setting. Take a moment and jot down answers to these three questions. To give an example, I share my answers below.
Step 1: What are three things I appreciated from the weekend?
Step 2: What is one thing I can be excited about today?
Step 3: What is my intention for this week?
GRATITUDE: I’m thankful for time with Matt’s family, a delicious dinner Saturday night and easy travels to Florida on Sunday.
TODAY: I’m most excited to spend time with family tonight.
INTENTION: My intention this week is to lean into the holiday spirit.
Okay, your turn! And if you want to share your three steps, I am all ears. 🙂
On My Monday Radar
Merry Christmas Eve Eve and happy holiday week!! Hope you are soaking up the festivities and coziness and spending time with friends or family. I had fun brainstorming some of my favorite things from 2024 on my flight home yesterday, so if you are looking for some last-minute gift recommendations or some positive content to peruse, I hope you enjoy!
- Tell me this is year you turned 30 without telling me this is the year you turned 30… my two favorite purchases from the year are... my Oofos Recovery Sandals and the Dyson Vacuum. I promise I’m not being dramatic when I say both have changed my life. I use both daily and LOVE them!
- 2024 was a great year of reading, but if I had to pick a favorite fiction and nonfiction book, I’d have to pick… Hello Beautiful by Ann Napolitano and When by Dan Pink. Hello Beautiful has everything I love most in a book: complex family drama, multiple narrators, long timeline. Plus, it is set in Chicago! And When was such an interesting premise and did make me think about how I manage my energy throughout the day.
- In terms of shopping and style, I’m so happy the “lady jacket” trend stayed around for another year. Such a versatile piece to add to your closet! Work? Dinner with friends? Casual daytime activity? Check, check, check! Paired with jeans, pants, dresses, etc. these jackets work for all! Love these and whether or not they stay “trendy,” I will continue to wear them!
- One of my 2024 goals was to update my makeup routine and feeling good about the products I added to my repertoire this year. Saie is a new-to-me makeup brand that I’m loving (especially their makeup brushes!). I also really love the Haus Labs concealer and using the technique of applying to my areas of redness before I follow with my tried & true tinted moisturizer.
What were some of your favorite purchases or things from 2024? I would love to know!
Sending you a big holiday hug!
