I started Megan’s Monday Motivation in 2019 while looking for a creative writing outlet. A few years into working full-time, I realized something surprising: I loved Mondays, but I didn’t know anyone else who did. It felt like so many people had adopted the idea that Mondays are something to dread – a hurdle to get through on the way to the “good part” of the week. And I get it. Getting back into the rhythm of things after the weekend can be tough.
But I’ve always thought Mondays are full of possibility. This newsletter – sent every Monday morning at 6 AM EST – is my way of exploring how to have happier Mondays, by finding small things to look forward to, setting simple goals to work toward and making everyday moments feel a little more enjoyable.
My hope is that it feels like a thoughtful, conversational note from a friend – part reflection, part gentle motivation – focused on small habits, seasonal rhythms and everyday moments that make life feel more intentional.
