Monday, 7/14/25: Talking about what’s on my radar this morning
Happy Monday!
It’s a new week, which means it’s time for your next Monday motivation newsletter.
Read on below for some steps to a happier Monday and some positive thoughts to get your week started.
Three Steps to a Happier Monday
Each newsletter starts with three prompts to inspire gratitude and simple intention setting. Take a moment and jot down answers to these three questions. To give an example, I share my answers below.
Step 1: What are three things I appreciated from the weekend?
Step 2: What is one thing I can be excited about today?
Step 3: What is my intention for this week?
GRATITUDE: I’m thankful for easy travel, being engrossed in the book I’m reading and time with friends who don’t live nearby!
TODAY: We had a new piece of furniture delivered over the weekend and Matt is going to build it after work today. I’m so excited to see what it looks like in the space!
INTENTION: My intention this week is to find moments of slowness each day.
Okay, your turn! And if you want to share your three steps, I am all ears. 🙂
On My Monday Radar
Each Monday, this newsletter rotates between personal reflections & essays and a round-up of links, recommendations, and other positive things on my radar. If you’re looking for some content to ease into your week, take a scroll through the links below. Hope you enjoy!:
First, a couple of delightful lists to start your Monday off right:
- 18 Little Good Things of Summer – love this list capturing the essence of summer in small, sweet moments!
- One hundred and sixteen things that bring you hope – Reading this post feels like taking a big exhale in the best way.
And two insightful prompts that sparked some thoughtful journaling for me this weekend:
- Do the best job you can today – A helpful, gentle reminder that our choices aren’t just perfection or writing the day off completely.
- What would you do with an extra hour? – A simple but powerful question that’s helping me notice how I’m spending my time.
Sometimes the smallest things have the biggest impact. These little home finds (all under $10!) have quietly become part of my daily rhythm – and they truly bring me joy every time I use them:
- Wrist bands for washing my face.I know how important washing your face every night is, and I especially notice a difference in my skin when I do a “double cleanse” (cleansing with a balm or micellar water first, followed by face cleanser). However, I was finding myself procrastinating washing my face. When I thought about why, I realized I hated how water would drip down my arms and soak my sleeves. Enter these $3 wrist bands that take care of that problem. Now I can’t wash my face without them!
- Wooden clothes hangers. When we moved into this house, I used it as an opportunity to transition from mismatched plastic hangers to uniform wooden ones. The wooden hangers are sturdy, streamlined and I love the uniform, calm look I see whenever I open my closet.
- Meat grinder tool. I love this little tool for crumbling any kind of ground meat! Easy enough to use and then pop in the dishwasher.
Okay this final grouping is a fun one… while in the airport this weekend I found myself perusing some of my favorite online storefronts and daydreaming what I would be filling my cart with IF I wasn’t 6 months pregnant ;). Passing some links along in case you’re in the mood for some fun summer outfit inspo:
- Fun, summery tanks like this & this from J.Crew
- An adorable navy gingham golf dress – so cute for travel, running errands, working from home
- This breezy and elegant white top & matching skirt
- A fun and charming mini dress like this one
Hope you have a great Monday and a wonderful week!
