Monday, 10/14/24: Talking about what’s on my radar this morning
Happy Monday!
It’s a new week, which means it’s time for your next Monday motivation newsletter.
Read on below for some steps to a happier Monday and some positive thoughts to get your week started.
Three Steps to a Happier Monday
Each newsletter starts with three prompts to inspire gratitude and simple intention setting. Take a moment and jot down answers to these three questions. To give an example, I share my answers below.
Step 1: What are three things I appreciated from the weekend?
Step 2: What is one thing I can be excited about today?
Step 3: What is my intention for this week?
GRATITUDE: I’m thankful for seeing and catching up with family, easy travels back to Chicago and fall-scented candles.
TODAY: I’m most excited to journal this morning.
INTENTION: My intention this week is to focus on the good that is here right now.
Okay, your turn! And if you want to share your three steps, I am all ears. 🙂
On My Monday Radar
Some Mondays, we aren’t ready to jump into our to-do list right away. In case you want some content to procrastinate with, here’s a roundup of a few positive things on my radar. Hope you enjoy!
- In the last roundup, I mentioned watching the Netflix series Nobody Wants This. I’ve since finished the series – and watched a few of the episodes a second time while my mom was visiting – and really loved it. I’m so excited they announced the show will return for a season 2! Until then, I’ve been filling the void by listing to the show’s soundtrack. Great music to have on during the workday!
- What’s Your Monday? I love anything ‘day in the life’ related, but a day in the life spotlighting a Monday?! Yes please. Enjoyed listening to this podcast episode and thinking about what my Monday is like in this current season of life. (If you listen to the podcast episode, guess which host I very much relate to 🙂 ).
- Inviting Ease Into Our Mondays. Continuing the Monday focus! I like the tips for preparing for your Monday plus things you can do today to get the week off to a good start.
- The Beauty of Being Alone. I like this spin on ‘solitude’ vs. ‘being alone’ and the encouragement to find your best solitude style.
- I bought this sweater from Gap recently when it was on sale and love it! It’s very soft, not too heavy and the right length. I purchased in the chocolate brown color but am already eyeing a few others (the red looks like it would be perfect for holidays!).
- Very Minor Holidays. Haha – these made me laugh! I love the book one and would add any time one of my holds become available… one of my favorite emails to get!
Picture of the Week
That’s all for today! I hope you found something in today’s newsletter that sparked motivation, made you smile or inspired a positive Monday thought. Don’t underestimate the power of starting small… a fulfilling week starts with just one fulfilling day. You’ve got this!
Let’s make it a great Monday!
