It’s a new week, which means it’s time for your next Monday motivation newsletter.

Three Steps to a Happier Monday

Each newsletter starts with three prompts to inspire gratitude and simple intention setting. Take a moment and jot down answers to these three questions. To give an example, I share my answers below.  

Step 1: What are three things I appreciated from the weekend? 

Step 2: What is one thing I can be excited about today?

Step 3: What is my intention for this week? 

GRATITUDE: I’m thankful for fun nights with friends, time to relax and the great book I’m reading! 

TODAY: I’m most excited to have some quiet time this morning to plan out October. 

INTENTION: My intention this week is to write down a list of things I’m thankful for each night.

On My Monday Radar

Some Mondays, we aren’t ready to jump into our to-do list right away. In case you want some content to procrastinate with, here’s a roundup of a few positive things on my radar. Hope you enjoy! 

  • Thinking of everyone impacted by Hurricane Helene’s heavy rainfall, strong winds, dangerous debris and flooding. It’s devastating to see the losses and impacts to homes and livelihoods. Thankful my family in Florida is all okay and not impacted, but thinking of friends (and all) who are picking up the pieces to move forward. Here is a great roundup of ways to help. 
  • In some lighter news… I started a new book and TV show this weekend that I am loving. After reading the first chapter of Hello Beautiful, I knew I was going to love this book. It is my favorite genre – a multi-generational family drama – AND is set in Chicago. I think I’ll finish it in the next couple of days as I’m reading it every chance I can!
  • The TV show I started this weekend is Nobody Wants This on Netflix – loving it! I went into it thinking it would be cheesy, but it’s actually very cute and laugh-out-loud funny while also tackling some serious themes. Have you watched?
  • Fall Is the Perfect Time to Declutter: 8 Ways to Reset Your Space This Season. October 1 is tomorrow… here for some intentional activities to mark the seasonal shift! 
  • Speaking of fall vibes… I need to start thinking about my Fall Fun List, a seasonal bucket list of activities I want to do to enjoy this beautiful time of year.
  • How a Brooklyn Journalist Buys Freedom & Joy. Loved reading this interview!!
